All signs show that the night race in ski cross taking place in St. Johann tonight will be spectacular.
The tension around the 3rd FIS World Cup ski cross slope in the Penzing Oberndorf has been visible for days now. The slope is more difficult, and the conditions for the crowds around the slope are expected to once again please the hearts of ski cross fans.
"We finally made it. One of the most spectaculare courses in the ski cross World Cup has now been copleted and ready for the race. Looking at this year's construction of the track, can instantly determine; the audience this year will be able to watch a race who cant be described with enough superlatives" organizing committee said in a press conference earlier this week.
Yesterdays qualification rounds went without any problems, and the athletes were able to show their skills. This year the course is even longer, and the athletes need to have physical erndurance in order to compete well.
The race starts at 17:45 (CET).
