Canadian aerial water event coming up

The Canadian National Training Centre for freestyle skiing will host an FIS sanctioned Aerial water ramp event

The training and competition facility is situated only 15 kilometers north of downtown Quebec City and has been in existence for 7 years. Quebec

City is the only fortified city left in North America and a protected UNESCO site. Each year the Centre holds a World Cup water ramp competition and invites international Aerial athletes to participate. The training and competition centre continues to attract a very high calibre of athlete.

The 2011 edition will be the 3rd consecutive year that the event will be sanctioned by FIS. Since the beginning of the water ramp competitions, many nations make plans to attend each year. This year there are several teams that have already committed to attending, including teams from Russia, U.S.A., Japan, China and of course our Canadian Air Force.

The new scoring regulations that will be used in the upcoming World Cups and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, in Sochi, Russia, will be applied to this competition. Nothing like a water ramp competition to test the waters of the new rules! The stakes are high - the contest is guaranteed to be very exciting!!

The program of activities will include: a competition for our young athletes (and future stars), a Freeski demonstration, a celebration of 30 years of the Quebec Air Force (LaRoche, Fontaine, Olivier and many others will be present), several kiosks (USANA, KANABEACH, GLAGLASHOES CANADA...), for all of our festival goers, big and small, the restaurant la Cage aux Sports et Le Batifol will be available to satisfy all appetites, you can enjoy a cocktail or a indulge in an ice cream cone from our mobile ice cream bar.
