Anna Holmlund won the Ski Cross globe

Anna Holmlund (SWE) won the last World Cup competition in ski cross in Voss-Myrkdalen (NOR) today, and can celebrate her first World Cup title.

 

Holmlund who finished third in the World Cup standings last year could finally celebrate her victory - in the best possible way. Winning todays competition in Voss-Myrkdalen secured her the World Cup title, winning with 60 points down to number 2: Heidi Zacher (GER). Kelsey Serwa (CAN) came third in the World Cup standings.

 

Blue sky and beautiful surroundings welcomed the top notch of the ski cross elite in Voss. Holmlund won both the quarter final and semi final and could start the final in perfect conditions. Kelsey Serwa finished second, closely followed by the two Swiss girls; Kathrin Mueller and Fanny Smith.

 

"I've never been happier when crossing the finish line" an excited Holmlund said after her race. "It did me good, when I woke up this morning I didn't feel especially confident, so winning here today was simply amazing".
