Andreas Matt (AUT) could celebrate his very first World Cup title today, winning the overall ski cross World Cup. Matt who has had a stunning season won ahead of DelBosco (CAN) Pellinen (FIN).
The 27-year-old has had a highly successfull season, and ended it in a best possible way, winning the last competition and the overall ski cross World Cup globe. Competing against Colas in the overall World Cup globe, the dominant Austrian ski crosser lost with 17 points.
"Winning the Ski Cross World Cup was important to me and I have achieved this goal. It would be presumptuous, after such a successful season to complain about the fact that I did not win the freestyle World Cup, " said the 28-year-old Matt.
