Inawashiro (猪苗代町, Inawashiro-machi?) is a town located in the Yama District of Fukushima, Japan. The resort rests on the shores of Lake Inawashiro, one of the largest lakes in Japan. It is a well-known ski resort to both athletes and fans, having played host to World Cup moguls competition since 1988. While not an especially large resort, Inawashiro's well-named "Daffy Course" moguls and dual moguls slope - with its 37° fall line - is reknowned for being one of the most difficult courses on the World Cup circuit.
Previously home to World Cup aerials competition and the 2009 FIS Freestyle World Championships, Inawashiro's rich freestyle skiing history and year-round facitlites make the resort a popular destination for freestyle skiers from around the globe.
